2008 Nebraska State GAYP Open Tournament

Nebraska State GAYP Open on October 11, 2008, at the Old Country Buffet,
7540 Dodge Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Check in 8:30 a.m.; play starts at
9:00 a.m. 7 rounds. The best arrangements for a motel I can recommend
is: Off I-80 (east or west), take the 72nd Street Exit North. There are
six or seven motels right there, 1 block away. You can choose from Super
8, Baymont, Travel Lodge, Clariton, Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson’s, and
Quality Inn. The lowest rate seems to be the Travel Lodge and Super 8.

Congratulations! John Pestal for winning the 2008 Nebraska State GAYP Championship. This was John's 5th State Championship during a storied career in the grand ole' game.

There were 7 rounds of "spirited" play throughout the tournament.

Registration started at 8:30 and play started at 9:15 a.m.

This was a very competitive tournament throughout all 7 rounds.

Thanks to everyone for their help in making this a very good tournament.
